



Sanjana

Sanjana showed her interest in dance at a very young age. Even before Bharathanatyam, she was a ballet dancer and gymnast. Sanjana then began her Bharathanatyam training at the young age of 4 from Guru Smt. Sunitha Raj. She has participated in multiple dance performances. She has participated in the Nrithyanjali School of Dance’s productions of “Ramayana”, “Shiva Shakti”, “Krishna”, and “Dashavatar”. She has also performed in multiple cultural programs such as events organized by TAGG, KAGG, IAGG, GTS, and multiple other dance programs.
Sanjana is a rising sophomore and an IB honors student at Southside High School. She is a member in multiple after-school activities such as Speech & Debate, Student Council and the American Red Cross. She has also participated in her school’s play as well as being a member of the Southside tennis team.
Along with Bharathanatyam, Sanjana is talented in many art forms. She has been learning Carnatic music from Smt. Parvathy Chandrasekhar and continues her vocal training. She also plays the violin and has participated in the after-school GCYO orchestras. Along with her vocal training and the violin, she has a gift for visual arts. She began painting at a young age and has developed a passion for sketching and painting.
